Garnet
Garnets are a group of silicate minerals that have been used as gemstones and cutting materials since the Bronze Age. It comes in a variety of colours, including red, brown, orange, green and black. The most well-known and widespread variety of garnet is almandine, which is red to purplish red.
Garnet has a shiny and transparent surface and its crystals are shaped like a twelve-sided ring. It is a hard and durable material that is often used to make jewellery such as necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings.
